xxxHolic and Macross Frontier  


I've been on an anime watching marathon ever since I came back from church this afternoon. So far I've managed to finish all 26 episodes of xxxHolic and watched another 10 episodes of Macross Frontier. This post is going to be my thoughts on this two anime series which are quite old but have been only watched by me recently.

×××Holic {1+2+3+4} - Cheats & Lies  


“Humans are simply the strangest creatures in this world.”

Another of CLAMP’s work, ×××Holic is one of the unique works created by the group of artists. As this would be my first ×××Holic update, I might as well explain what is with this anime and how it is different compared to its manga, and how supernatural incidents occur as the story goes on.

To those who don’t know about it, ×××Holic is a story collaborating with Tsubasa Chronicle; or at least CLAMP intended the two stories to come together at several points. However, the creator of the anime decided to do it otherwise by not even mentioning Syaoran and the others in the anime. In anyways, the anime still retained the original humoristic style featuring Watanuki and Yuko as the main characters, with a few other side characters such as Himawari and Doumeki. The anime also retained the original manga art style by CLAMP, which featured its characters with long hands and long legs.

Remedial Anime Awards, September 2006  


At least I remembered to do this, unlike Tsubaki who forgotten to do his website's monthly "Anime Desho Desho Rwar". As usual, I'll go directly into the winners for the month. xxxHolic OAV - "Manatsu no Yori no Yume" Original Soundtrack  


My classmate and a good friend [info]hughwong had given me this soundtrack in return of me giving him Ouran High School Host Club episodes. I have seen the OAV subbed by Shinsen quite a long time ago, and have been expecting this soundrack for quite a long time now. Hmm. There are altogether 23 tracks, with only one track with vocals. The others are all BGMs, although most of them were so... unfarmiliar. Most of the tracks are piano stuffs (track 13, track 14, track 12, etc), or perhaps violin too. I can hear trumpets in a few of the tracks too. I think the track which suited my taste best was track 5, where it was a fast song. Track 8 is also one of my favourite.

If you want to get it, go get them from Nipponsei. Oh and, Tsubasa Chronicle's fourth soundtrack, Future Soundscape IV has recently been released, and you can get them from Nipponsei too. I won't be getting the soundtrack any soon though. Other anime bloggers would have at least 500GB space on their HDD, meanwhile I'm having less than 800MB left on C: drive. =\
